Mission Statement
The mission of the Santana Lab is to advance the understanding of how communities construe, cope with, and adapt to environmental pressures and climate change. Through interdisciplinary research grounded in the social sciences, we explore the affective, cognitive, and social dimensions of environmental change.

Our work is committed to fostering environmental justice, supporting community resilience, and informing more inclusive and effective adaptation strategies. We aim to bridge academic research and real-world impact by collaborating with diverse partners, amplifying lived experiences, and training the next generation of scholars in environmental social science.
